Thanksgiving 101: Cocktails

Happy November, everyone! You know what that means — now that spooky season is over, it’s officially the holiday season! Now, while I’m not the type to put my Holiday decor up this month or anything like that, I am all about getting ready for one of my favorite holidays of the year. Any guesses? As a devout foodie and lover of gatherings, it shouldn’t be too hard…

Ding ding ding — I’m talking about Thanksgiving!

What makes a great Thanksgiving?

In my opinion, Thanksgiving is one of the best times of the year because it involves all of my favorite things into one holiday: comfort food, delicious drinks, festive decorating, and of course, top-notch hosting! With this in mind, I knew that I couldn’t just write one blog about my holiday tips — how could I possibly fit all my Thanksgiving tips into one piece? So, every week in November, I will be shining a worthy spotlight on the four keys to a great thanksgiving, starting with Thanksgiving cocktails!

Cocktails and the Holidays

Let’s be honest, a great cocktail (or mocktail!) is an integral part of the holiday season. Thanksgiving is all about relaxing and letting loose with your loved ones, and a good cocktail definitely helps to calm the nerves. On the flip side, the holidays can sometimes be a stressful occasion for some but hey, cocktails help with that too!

Of course, I love a good holiday cocktail because it can help really tie together the mood of the evening. You know I’m partial to an Aperol Spritz, but hey — I know there’s a time and a place for everything and there are plenty of seasonal cocktails that will bring the cozy, comfortable vibe of the holidays with every sip. Here are a few of my all-time favorite holiday drink recipes!

Thanksgiving Punch

I absolutely love this Thanksgiving Punch that I found on Thyme and Joy. With a few simple easy ingredients, you can make a delicious fall punch cocktail or mocktail that will be a crowd-pleaser for kids and adults. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic instructions are included.

Cider Sidecar

A classic cocktail with a holiday twist. What’s not to love about that? Check out Country Living for this easy and delicious cocktail recipe that your guests will love.

Hot Apple-Ginger Toddy

For a warm and boozy treat, a hot apple-ginger toddy is your best bet. The Hot Apple-Ginger Toddy Recipe has an amazing recipe for this delicious drink that’ll have you feeling all warm and fuzzy.
